The H.O.P.E Choir is an intergenerational community choir for ages 7 to 70.

H.O.P.E is an acronym for Healing Others by Performing Everywhere.

Mission

The H.O.P.E Choir’s mission is to touch lives through positive, impactful music. Started in 2022. Since it’s inception, the H.O.P.E Choir has performed for United Airlines, LA Metro, the Special Needs Network, CASA-LA, the Hilton Foundation, the Taste of Soul and Rock The Block community festivals.

Vision

The H.O.P.E Choir believes that music is a universal language and that through performing music collectively, we are building bridges that unite persons, communities, and cultures. Our commitment to ensuring the diversity of our choir and community is reflected in the music we sing and works we commission.

Ready to elevate your vocal skills? Start your journey with this vocal warmup exercise from White Hall Arts Academy. Use the Google Chrome Transpose Extension to tailor your workout, so you can sing with confidence in any key or at any pace. How to pronounce Solfege: Do (dough) Re (ray) Mi (me) Fa (faaa) So (sew) La (laaa) Ti (tea) Directions: Sing the major scale using solfege. Follow as the exercise goes up and down the scale 4 times then raises up to the next key. The exercise will repeat this process 6 times. If it gets too high for your voice, stop there. When you begin you may only be able to go up 3 or 4 times. Don't strain your voice trying to hit notes that are too high. As you continue to practice, over time you vocal flexibility should increase and the higher notes should become easier!
