WHAA student JORDYN SIMONE on American Idol Farewell Season

January 2016

We are very proud of our voice student Jordyn Simone who was featured on the farewell season of American Idol which premiered in January 2016. Jordyn was called "A phenomenon" by the judges!

16 year old Jordyn has been studying at the WHAA with Ms. Tanisha since she was 11 years old. "I will never forget the day she walked up to the door. This bold little girl with a huge smile and even bigger voice!" recalls Ms. Tanisha. "Working with Jordyn has been a treat. She's extremely hard worker with an exceptional gift, but that is not without it's challenges." Through the years the two have worked to expand Jordyn's range and focus on her learning how to use her "big voice" in a healthy way. "Jordyn loves to belt!" says Tanisha. "Belting is fine, if the underlining support and flexibility are there."

We are excited for many more wonderful things to come from Jordyn.
